e-Stewards
Seattle, Washington
e-stewards.org
e-Stewards® is the gold standard for responsible electronics recycling and IT asset disposition (ITAD). Designed for organizations committed to the highest standards of environmental and social responsibility, the e-Stewards standard prohibits the export of hazardous e-waste to developing countries, the use of prison labor and unsafe disposal practices. It goes beyond compliance to protect people, the planet and your brand. Certified processors undergo rigorous audits and participate in a robust performance verification program — including GPS tracking and unannounced inspections — to ensure integrity year-round. Fortune 500 companies, governments and institutions around the world trust e-Stewards certified processors to manage their end-of-life electronics securely and ethically. Whether you're an enterprise looking to improve your ESG performance or a recycler committed to leading the industry, e-Stewards is the mark of true stewardship.
i-SIGMA
Phoenix, Arizona
isigmaonline.org
The International Secure Information Governance & Management Association (i-SIGMA®) is the industry trade association, enforcing standards and ethical compliance for secure data destruction and records and information management service providers on six continents. i-SIGMA currently maintains the most rigorous and widely accepted data-security vendor-compliance certifications, NAID AAA Certification® and PRISM Privacy+ Certification®, with hundreds of governments and thousands of private contracts using the programs to meet their regulatory due diligence requirements.
i-SIGMA was formed by the merger of two long-standing industry associations, the NAID® and PRISM International® (Professional Records and Information Services Management®), in 2018.
By harnessing the strength from its foundations and keeping abreast of current regulatory changes, i-SIGMA members are now better equipped than ever with access to more tools and learning opportunities. A stronger association, combined credibility and more resources also mean the association can better support members and better address regulators, policymakers and decision-makers.
