E-SCRAP 2017: THE SHOW GOES ON AS PLANNED
Hurricane Irma has moved past Orlando, Florida without inflicting significant damage. As a result, we're pleased to confirm this year's E-Scrap Conference will go on as scheduled.
Officials report that damage to the Orlando area from the storm was much less than experienced in some other locations in the Southeast U.S. and Caribbean. The Orlando airport has reopened for both inbound and outbound flights.
Additionally, the Omni Orlando Resort at Championsgate, the conference host hotel, reports no damage to the property or nearby infrastructure. The hotel issued the following statement on Tuesday: "The Omni Orlando Resort at ChampionsGate is operating at 100 percent with no impact or damages from Hurricane Irma. We look forward to welcoming all guests."
At this point, local authorities are focused on cleaning up some scattered debris and addressing power outages. We wish to extend our heartfelt thanks to those working on cleanup efforts, and our thoughts also go out to those individuals in other areas of Florida and the Caribbean who were more severely impacted by the storm.
We look forward to a successful E-Scrap 2017 and plan to see you in Orlando next week.
